Does Packard Bell deserve it's reputation?

I know that in the past Packard Bell was pretty terrible. But after being taken by Acer would you say their quality has been improved? I just bought this laptop http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/138073 and while it has yet to arrive, it looks pretty good to me. Ideas?
