Not all my viruses delete in Mcafee?

I just installed the new mcafee from a cd. Mcafee security center i think and once the virus scan is done I view the detection log and it says removed or quarantined but some just say detected. I tried to search for those files but they are not there. does it mean that they are just quarantined or removed?
