Endometrial ablation hasn't work. Other options?

I had an endometrial ablation at the end of August 2009 after enduring severe menorrahgia for several years. I thought that my periods would get lighter and shorter but instead they still last 7 to 10 days and only slightly less heavier then before the procedure. Hoping that things would slow down after a couple of months, it is now the end of November and the relief I expected hasn't come. I go back to the doctors in January so I will address my concerns with her then. But what are some other options that will help me besides a hysterectomy. I'd like that to be the last option because I think it might have negative side effects on my drive. Thank you.
